20230503-POWH-External-of-new-ED-3_EDIT-(2).jpgThe Prince of Wales Hospital Emergency Department officially moved to the new Acute Services Building (ASB) on  Wednesday 3 May 2023.

It includes new and expanded Emergency Department features, state-of-the-art infrastructure, new technology and an abundance of natural light.

How to get to the new Adult Emergency Department
The Adult Emergency Department is located on level B2 of the new ASB. The public drop-off and pick-up zone for the new Emergency Department is located off Magill Street, via Botany Street.

Arriving by car
Park in the Randwick Hospitals Campus car park (Point Parking), accessed from Easy Street (off Barker Street). Take the lift up to level 0 and follow the signs to the ASB. This will take you through the public link bridge, connecting the existing hospital campus to the new building. The link bridge will connect you to the main public entrance on level 0. Take the lift to the floor you need to go to, or ask for directions at the Information Desk or use our new digital wayfinding kiosks.

Arriving by public transport
Alight from the Light Rail at the UNSW stop on High Street and turn right into Botany Street. You’ll find the main entrance to the ASB on the left, before Magill Street. Information about bus routes can be found on the Prince of Wales Hospital website.

How to get to the Acute Services Building main entrance
The main entrance to the ASB  is located at 77 Botany Street, opposite UNSW. The new hospital building can also be accessed from the existing buildings via a public link bridge. The link bridge is accessible via level 0 of the existing campus, adjacent to the Royal Hospital for Women entrance. We recommend allowing extra travel time to find your way around the new hospital.
