The first of two tower cranes that will help construct the new Sydney Children's Hospital and Minderoo Children's Comprehensive Cancer Centre building is now on site! The 50-metre-tall crane was installed over a weekend in early April, arriving as a series of pieces and put together on site by a smaller mobile crane. It will rise to 75 metres in height as construction of the building progresses. Soon to be joined by a second crane, which will have a final height of a whopping 85 metres, the towering machines will enable materials to be efficiently and safely lifted within the construction site, and will be a feature of the Randwick skyline until early 2024.
